Adobe recently issued an upgrade to Adobe Reader to version 9.3 - This also affects version 9.2 apparantly.
If you try to open a magazine using it when in Chrome you will get a number of errors. This is a fault in Adobe Reader / Chrome but there is a simple work round.

1 Open Adobe Reader
2 Click on Edit and go to Preferences
3 Select Internet from the list on the left
4 Untick the box where it says Display PDF in browser
5 Click on OK

You should now find magazines open correctly.
