What's New

We Have Now Published Our 60th Magazine - Five Years Old
Yes, with the issue of the November 2011 magazine, we have now completed 5 years of your favourite magazine. It's hard to remember the first magazine, back in December 2006, but with the support of all our advertisers and readers it is very satisfying to know that the predictions of "you'll last three months if you're lucky" were proved wrong. Even in the continuing difficult times that so many businesses and individuals are experiencing, we are continuing to help and encourage wherever possible, and will continue to do so long into the future.

Mellow Pages Has Grown
With literally hundreds of viewers just to the Business Directory we have added Advertisements from the Mellow Magazine to each advertiser's entry. If you have a business then make sure you are on the area's best FREE business directory.

New Menu Links And Improved Pages
The menu on the left has been improved to take you where you wish to go more quickly.
Links to Classifieds and Businesses now take you straight there.
Horoscopes are back again.
Renfe and Aena links now take you to their sites' English pages
A new link on the Air Travel menu takes you to a radar tracking site so you can "see" the plane in flight. Not all planes are shown I'm afraid, and they do disappear sometimes but still a very useful addition. You can even time your journey to pick up relatives from the airport!

We have made Mellow Pages Better - free classifieds now feature Photos - Business directory is now international, a UK version is also now online so if you deal with the UK, you need to get your business featured.

As We Enter The New Year We Have Grown
Mellow Magazine has grown in size. Still the same number of pages, but each page is approximately 25% bigger now. Easier to read, more room in each advertisement. We hope you like it.

Our New Mellow Pages in the UK
January is planned for the launch of our new UK version of Mellow Pages - bigger and brighter with great new features to advertise your business. Remember, most of us in business in Spain rely to some extent on tourists, and many of those come from the UK - which means advertising in the UK makes sense - and Mellow Pages will the place to do it.

The November Magazine - 4 years of the Mellow Magazine
Four years ago, the first Mellow Magazine rolled out of the printers and onto the shelves. We had been told it couldn't be done, people had tried before and failed. Well, our principle of magazine first and ads second paid off and we continue to be the best magazine around with articles that are read and re-read by thousands of people across the world. So thanks to everyone who has continued to support us and help us remain at the top, and here's to the next four years during which an exciting expansion is planned.

October Magazine
We would like to apologise for the lateness of the October edition of your favourite magazine. We needed to go to the UK just after sending the files to the printer and were unfortunately caught up in the Spanish general strike and were unable to return when planned on Wednesday. We eventually arrived back in Spain late on Friday, too late to collect them from the printers and so will be collecting them on Monday and distributing them as fast as we can.

Bald and Brave
On the 4th July, a very brave lady had her long silky locks shawn to a tiny 1/2 centimetre to raise money for charity. You can see the photos and read about the event on our events blog.

Fiction
Our readers occasionally send us stories they have written and ask to be included in the magazine. Unfortunately at this time this is not possible and so we now offer to publish fiction on this site. If you, or anyone you know, might be interested in having their work displayed in this way then do please get in touch.

New Travel Blog
As many of you will know, we took a trip to Marrakech in Morocco at the end of May. It was a wonderful experience and one we will long remember. So you can discover some of the delights for yourselves, we have now added a travel blog to the site (you can find it on the Travel Button). The entry for the main visit is there, but we will be adding an entry for the trip we took to the High Atlas Mountains. We are also gradually adding earlier trips where we have a decent collection of photos. The first of these was a trip to Strycksele, Sweden in July 2007. This was with a gentleman called Alan Price, now sadly passed away, who I hope many will remember with some affection.

New Advertisers
We always welcome new advertisers - of course - but this month we would like to extend a special welcome to Ryanair who have started advertising with us.

New Menus and New Features
We've added a new menu system to the website and also some new features including a Daily Crossword, a Daily Sudoku, Horoscopes, Tarot reading as well as some interesting and thoughtful sayings that might inspire you.

If you, or someone you know, is flying anywhere, there is also a link to an interesting site where you can even track the progress of a plane through the skies.  Fascinating to watch, but also very useful as you get up to the minute information on the status of the aeroplane.  Have a look, see what you think and let us know.

The New Event Blog on This Website.
If you run a club or a charity and hold events then this is the place to display photos and reports about the events once they have happened.  Don't forget to add the events on the What's On Guide before the event as well, to let people know what's happening.

At the end of November, OPI, within whose offices we were based, moved to smaller premises so for the time being we will need to come to you - just call us and we'll arrange a visit (691 111 917).

Download Magazines
Hundreds of people download our magazines every month. In November we changed the format slightly so as to make it similar to the printed version. We have resisted the trend to 'turn the page' magazines on the internet as we believe you prefer to download your copy to read offline, and pdf files tend to be much quicker to open, but please let us know what you think.

Subscription Service
A number of people have asked us if we can post them copies of Mellow Magazine.  Well we have been doing just that for a number of months now so if you would like a copy of your favourite magazine posted to you just drop us an email.  We do have to make a charge for this to cover our costs, but its only 3€ per month in Spain, 5€ per month in the rest of Europe. In both cases, payment is made 3 monthly in advance.

Mellow Services Ltd
Mellow Magazine and Mellow Pages are now part of Mellow Services Ltd. This heralds a new phase in our development and we look forward to many great improvements over the coming months. The website can be found at www.mellowservices.co.uk
